The Thrawn Trilogy itself is better than the original movies. King Rial posted... Most of it was terrible. Eh, some of it was really bad, some of it was extremely good, and most of it hung around readable. There's one chick who wrote one or two books, and she turned Luke(at this point the closest thing to a god that he could be while still being mortal) and Han(When he was still badass) into sniveling, scared, crying bitches in their inner monologues while making Leia and Jaina the only people in the galaxy with any higher thought beyond "I'm scared". After her garbage books were over, the events in them were never mentioned again. Not once. But then you have the really good stuff that blows the garbage way. Thrawn, the whole Vong war(Except Star by Star. That book was too god damn long. Great payoff though.), Dark Nest, The Jedi Academy Trilogy(Because Kyp and Daala.). Pretty much, any trilogy or event that spans at least three books is amazing, while one or two-offs are more hit or miss.
