Correct me if I'm wrong but I didn't think characters like Whis belonged to any specific universe. I mean, possibly. But the various gods are being erased too and it is just the various angels that aren't for "some reason" Whis and Vados, and possibly the other Angels, are literally the Grand Priest's children.
