I agree it shouldn't be taboo and illegal, but hiring a prostitute isn't really going to make you any less lonely than ordering a pizza. At the end of the day, it's just another business transaction. Most lonely people aren't completely isolated hermits. You aren't forming meaningful interpersonal relationships. In some ways, I imagine prostitution is even more impersonal than other jobs. --- ...
