Bullshit, and I've both played and coached multiple sports at multiple levels, and this shit would get you penalized for sure. I'm convinced you never actually did if you don't understand how much sportsmanship is a huge thing in youth sports, as it should be.

Teams got penalized and warned for being poor sports. We went up against a team in our youth softball tournament that got warned for talking shit to the opposing team and trying to get in their heads. Were they dqd? No. They had to apologize and were warned if it happend again they were gone.

Again, my hs football team beat their rivals on their home field one night. They went and rung a school bell that that schools team rings everytime they beat a team. Extremely poor sportsmanship? Definetely. Were they dqed? Lmao no.


Poor sportsmanship is not a good enough reason to auto dq a team. Kids are going to be kids no matter what. Auto dqs should be saved for cheating and fights. Not this shit.

And yes, i played every sport not including football growing up. In a catholic league no less. Poor sportsmanship was a warning and an apology from the players in question. As long as sports are competitive, youre going to get poor sportsmanship rearing its head as kids grow up. Punishing them with the most severe punishment there is is bullshit.
