That seems like too long to me. Wouldn't you know if someone was "the one" after like 3 years? If you don't feel that way by then both do you are just wasting your time by staying together Not necessarily. There are a lot of things that can cause people to wait to get married. Jobs, money, family situations, etc. can make two people who seem perfect for each other wait a while before getting married.
