This is what happens when every institution and our own technology all conspire to condemn/damage masculinity. Godnorgosh posted...

I blame movies. Back in the 80s and 90s there were stuff you could watch which celebrated masculinity and made you feel like a motherf***ing man and that even if you were a beta weakling you could watch Rocky IV or something like Predator or Commando and still feel hair grow on your chest as a 14 year old.

Now where do young guys and teens go for that stuff? All shows barely celebrate macho manliness anymore. Its all beta stuff trying to be PC and for tumblr kins.

Even shows or movies you might recommend right now are nothing like their counterparts from decades ago. Its a known fact that when males feel manly their sperm count increases and if they feel effeminate it decreases their testosterone levels their are studies that prove this.

He's right.

Pop culture has degraded to the point where there is almost nothing masculine being openly celebrated unless it's sports (even then, NFL and NBA are a joke now). Turn on the Grammy awards to see beta men celebrated and paraded around and then watch as one of the most alpha masculine bands Metallica gets **** on by pairing them with Lady Gaga and then experiencing technical difficulties. Go watch Queens of the Stone Age and Nine Inch Nails and Dave Grohl collaborate on stage and then get cut off by credits and commercials. Stick around for the 21 Pilots and the rest of the beta bands to play their garbage and then preach their achy hearts out. Stick around for the anti-President messages being made by uneducated losers who live in liberal echo chambers.

Unless you're a holdover from a different era like Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Eastwood, Metallica, or Guns N' Roses that can retain and gain new fans and play to big audiences, where is the masculinity for the youth to turn to? Why does it get no promotion? Would you rather listen to Arcade Fire or get your nuts blasted off at a Metallica show like I did last 2 weeks ago?

It sounds like conspiracy, but is it not unfeasible that the media + state + education system + industrial complex could be in cahoots?
