You're right. There is no law. You can be such a maladjusted person that you don't know how to function in current society. That is your natural right.

A sucker for what? All You're doing is sticking it to people barely getting by that will get fired before restaurants will bump up wages. I am an advocate for getting rid of tipping and similar forms of wages. Not tipping isn't the way that is going to happen. I know it isn't a requirement to tip, but it there isn't a requirement for a lot of things. Bucking social norms for minor personal gain at the cost of others might not be a crime, but it might make you not a very high quality person. Thankfully, regardless of how crappy the world may seem, those type of people are always in the minority.
