I knew I was in the right place, right time, right date, but wasn't on the list of people going in front of the judge. She looked over my summons, saw that I was supposed to be there, and wrote me in while they tracked down the lawyer. All I could think was "dammit. If I hadn't opened my mouth, would my case get thrown out since they weren't ready". Jokes on them though. Judgement was put in to garnish my wages (for defaulting on a credit card), and they've gotten maybe $30 from me over the last 8 years, due to my limited income. Now they are more than willing to take $50-100 a month on a payment plan. Sucks for them that since there was a court decision, I no longer feel the obligation to work with them to pay it off. --- The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes. That's fact.
