I did and I still got 10. I was always taught that 2(3) is another way of writing multiplication. Division and Multiplication are given the same weight in PEMDAS. You work left to right. So you would have to do 36 / 2 before you multiply it to 3. Of course if it was (3 x 2) instead of 2(3) you would multiply it first. I swear, everytime I did a problem like that it was marked correct.
