That is not how this works.

People who have near death experiences have given accounts that are similar to that of those predicted by religious texts.

Could those religious texts have influenced the content of their hallucinations? And since when are we privileging people in stressful situations 'seeing things' over our own measurable senses? I don't know. Maybe you do this often.
