You're eating up a lot of anti-vegan propaganda. It's fine, a lot of people do. The animal industry literally spends millions every year lobbying it. But this is just an irresponsible blanket statement to make.

It's like Foxx said, you don't need to go all out. Literally just stop eating eggs and beef and that's a massive chunk of unchecked cruelty and waste of resources you don't have to take part in.

It's alarming how much pro-meat agenda there is. There's actually paid beef shills--and you can spot them online pretty easily.

Right now red meat has a bad rap that is being downplayed, and in time other meat may be shown to have similar disease risk. It's difficult to get studies done without adequate funding.

Keep in mind that agribusiness sponsors a lot of studies (or disease societies) that try and assert that meat is needed, or that dairy is healthy and how you should get calcium. There's a huge financial incentive to keep people eating meat and processed foods. That industry influences food pyramids and dietary recommendations from governments. Studies that are not tied to agri dollars show the benefits of plant-based diets.

Canada is redoing the food pyramid and may be eliminating dairy entirely from it.

So I am willing to trust the doctors saying plant-based is the way to be, rather than take health advice from companies with interests in keeping me eating meat (and later needing more pharmaceuticals)
