Space Invaders: Infinity Gene

I find it pretty interesting how the simple concept of Space Invaders gets taken and twisted to fit whatever the current era of gaming is. Infinity Gene is such an interesting take on it. Almost not even recognizable as Space Invaders, but retains enough of the classic imagery and style that its roots are apparents.

Fun game, though. Worth the five bucks I just paid for it on Android. Seems like a good way to kill some time on breaks at work or while pooping.

Zone of the Enders 2 was a fun game with a ham-fisted story and amazing mech battles and probably the best fucking graphics on the Playstation 2. I don't know what kind of black magic Kojima used but holy god. It's so good. It's a low-res PS3 game. My jaw dropped when I first saw it.

It's also a fairly difficult game? I haven't played it in a while. I have a sealed copy, if you can believe it, alongside a loose disc copy in a CD book somewhere. I really liked the presentation (if you can't already tell). I liked the new animated 'codec' calls and how smooth combat was. There's a steep learning curve to git gud but is the reward worth is? I honestly don't know, I never beat it. I still think it's a great game regardless.
