I've known people that had two pitbulls, raised from puppies and treated like royalty yet they were still extremely territorial and prone to wild and scary mood swings. While they could be extremely loving and sweet in an instant they could turn terrifying. I have never seen another breed of dog act the way Pit Bulls do and to pretend they aren't different is silly. And I've raised and rescued over 400 of them. Most of them already abused and neglected, abandoned or mistreated. In all that time, my wife and I have only found 5 that we did not think could be rehomed to loving couples. Of every other dog that we have saved and sent out, none of them have attacked anyone. 5 in about 425-430. It isn't the breed that is the problem.
