They usually want literally $60 for a fucking 1.5-2 hour anime movie with no dub or anything) Through another community I was able to think of some reasoning of why Aniplex charges so much * Audiophiles have pointed out they make absolutley sure audio quality is at its best, FUNImation recently cheaped out especially on their streaming though they fixed it a little bit * Aniplex have special interviews and features gauranteed * Video Quality is generally really good --- ISFJ Big on Visual Novels, Anime, Video games.
