I might be misunderstanding, but I think you mean a part of, not apart of. (The way you wrote it means you're agreeing with me.) I'm fully aware of how it stands outside the current DC extended universe, which is why I said it as I still consider...

Nolan's tone in those movies is closer to the DCEU, than what Marvel has put forth. It's good that Marvel and DC movies look and feel very different from one another because we can enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy on one day and then enjoy Man of Steel on another, depending on your mood.
