The more I hear about the Trump Jr story the less it sounds like the smoking gun the left was hoping it is. It sounds like he went to a meeting hoping to gather some opposition research, not some you guys do this and you scratch my back I'll scratch yours type of thing. We already know it's no "smokinggun" because the "dirt" talked about in the email never showed up, not even on wikileaks. It's a nothingburger, and the fact that Comey's best friend Mueller is so concerned with it tells me that his team of Clinton cronies have no good leads to work with. You're comically missing the point. No one is saying there was any dirt. The problem is that Jr. tried to get some to begin with. What his intent in meeting with that lawyer was. But I guess you can keep calling it nothing if that makes you feel better. :u You'll have to face reality eventually. I know the overall "point" the left has been making about this. Attempted "collusion", blah, blah, blah. It still is not proof of anything. A Russian offered opposition research in the form of official government documents, and didn't deliver. Instead she whined about a certain law. That's a nothingburger.
