It is probably sensible to be wary of curriculum that is geared toward promoting activism, rather than educating with knowledge and skills. But, as I recall, one of the primary pillars of postmodernism is to question learned and established knowledge and ways of learning (like the scientific method) and replacing them with individual narratives (lived experiences). That's not modern. So, that's why they say feminism is cancer (yes, I know cancer isn't a viral infection. The metaphor is it spreads malignantly).
