Yeah, Civ's.. everything, is fairly simple really. Which I guess it is supposed to be.

Even so, I do wish the AI wasn't so insane in 6. It just feels frustrating to deal with all their agenda's - they condemn you if you don't meet it within 1 turn, or can even have contradictory ones.

It's hard to be detailed when your scope is the entirety of human history. The sheer grandiosity of Civ's scope is what I love about it, even if they've increasingly struggled to make the AI players behave believably and consistently. One of the problems is that I don't think they've really committed to either AI players behaving "historically" or behaving like they're playing Civilization, and both situations create nasty edge-cases.

As far as EU4 goes, it's good stuff. I have a Brandenburg game going, and just formed Prussia. Just starting to spool up my big military bonuses, but Denmark is doing extremely well and has thus far kept its PUs over Norway and Sweden. AND is allied to a pretty successful Muscovy. Poland refused the union with Lithuania and is really struggling though, so I could eat them without upsetting Austria.
