based on our understanding of time, "before" the big bang may not be a coherent concept.


And how do we know we didn't collide with another universe to make ours?


our universe is infinitely expanding so technically even if that was true we'd never get to that other universe(or whatever's left of it)


That doesn't even make sense. You actually made my point more plausible. Who's to say the other universe isn't also infinitely expanding? And just one day Kapow! Big BANG. Here we are. I'd guess our universe didn't have insurance so we got Earth.
