deplorable? Like say someone like an artist, musician, actor, filmmaker, writer, athlete, etc. who made great contributions to their field got caught and convicted in a beyond a shadow of a doubt case of raping a bunch of kids or something fucked up like that, say there was like video proof as well as DNA evidence or something so there is no "allegedly", you know for a fact that they did it. Should society at large basically bury that persons work and contributions along with their good name in a situation like that?

And as a secondary question even if you don't think we should, could you personally still be respectful of what they did professionally and enjoy it or acknowledge how great or important it was.
