I'm a fan of the show who could occasionally agree with this complaint, but I wouldn't call deception a recurring theme of theirs and it does so much more for education than other similar shows and arguably even actual news stations. this is why I don't like the show, because people think it's actually credible. I enjoyed it a lot at first because it was/is? genuinely funny but it also presents itself as more "news" than TDS or CR ever did but it's still intellectually disingenuous and completely slanted through a liberal/progressive take on things. It's tough because I'm fine with people having liberal/progressive opinions, even though I mostly disagree with them, but when things start getting presented and consumed as facts/news when they're actually opinions/stances of what's transpiring I find it troublesome and it ruins my ability to enjoy it for what it is because I can no longer view it as anything other than propoganda.
