In all my playthroughs I never thought to use Kuwanger's weapon on him. I've used it on Launch before, but my usual order is Penguin, Eagle, Mammoth, Chameleon, Mandrill, Armadillo, Octopus, Kuwanger

I think that's why it took me so long to figure out what I did. I was really young when I first did it, so I was either dicking around or trying to figure out what the weaknesses were. That was the only time I had ever used the boomerang on him.

My preferred order was:

Penguin
Eagle
Mammoth / Mandrill
Armadillo / Octopus
Kuwanger
Chameleon

I thought Kuwanger was the most difficult while Chameleon was stupidly easy with the boomerang so they always ended up being last two. I can see why I rarely had the boomerang when fighting Mammoth.
