Casting an actress of Indian descent as Jasmine makes sense - in the Broadway show they added a lot of sort of "Indian" influence to flesh out the routines, like Bollywood style dances etc. Obviously Agrabah is supposed to be located somewhere around Pakistan/Kashmir/India. --- Everything has an end, except for the sausage.
