If it's your local team or has players you like? It's just so arbitrary, ands yet people get so worked up over it. Pretty much. I like sports once in a while, but I'm not that into them. I have favourite teams in a few different things. The only times I get genuinely worked up are things where it's nations fighting for glory. That makes it pretty exciting.
