So I looked at the info released about the revised Trump plan, and it looks like it's been watered down to the extent that it gets rid of pretty much all of what was good about the original plan during the campaign, which was the 0% tax bracket for income up to $25,000 single/ $50,000 married. Combined with the standard deduction expansion that had been proposed, it would have eliminated federal income tax entirely for an individual making under 40k.

That would be a savings of around $4,000 a year for our hypothetical person making 40k......but there's no more talk about the 0% tax bracket now. Without it, the new plan looks pretty similar to current taxes, and we're talking about savings of a few hundreds instead of thousands of dollars. With families with children potentially having tax increases due to elimination of some provisions favorable to them.

Do you mean to tell me that a con man running for president made some bullshit promises, and once elected that same con man went back on those bullshit promises?
