thought the series was boring and repetitive, and glad my judgement was wrong. the game has tons of different monsters varying in attack pattern, strategy, habitat, weakness, strength etc.

the game has TONS of equipment to craft from the remains of your vanquished foes.

not to mention the equipment based progression means you can change playstyle almost anytime you want bored with giant sword? use axe, bored with it too? use bows, etc.all you have to do is craft the weapon type and you get a weapon. it is easy for example jumping from middle tier sword and shield to middle tier hammer as long as you have materials stocked up materials (and you usually have at least the tier below you stocked around)

yo udon't have to lose your progression when you switch styles. it is such a beautifully simple formula accompanied with TONS of content and variety.

there are also powerful addition to hunting style such as traps, baits, bombs, poisons, buff potions, etc which i probably have tried like 10% of them.

kinda sad that i've missed something this awesome literally my whole life till 2 weeks ago.
