I remember adding Golden Time to my list but cause I was told it was a romance anime that didn't take place in high school and that was already a big enough draw. Yeah that is what makes it enticing. The closest thing to that I've seen is Tatami Galaxy, and that was amazing. If Golden Time is similar to Tatami Galaxy minus the surrealism with more focus on the romance, I'd be totally fine. Watched ep 3 and 4 of YLIA. 3 was a bit of a slog, but 4. Holy shit, 4. THAT is the episode that has reeled me in. The scene where Kousei falls apart and going underwater to show how mute the piano became was probably the best scene I've seen in anime in quite a while. Plus the ending of the episode confirmed what I expected from episode 3. Also I think I've been spoiled as to a certain character's fate, thanks to Serperior's post.
