“The vice president is working every day to advance the president’s agenda,” Marc Lotter, Pence’s press secretary, said in a statement. “He was not aware of the meeting. He is also not focused on stories about the campaign — especially those pertaining to the time before he joined the campaign.”
Pence is probably getting pretty tired of being constantly lied to by Trump's campaign staff. He's done giving a fuck.
Also if something does actually happen to Trump, he's probably better off distancing himself since he'll take over if Trump is impeached and it helps make him look better. ---
