i was playing Left 4 Dead with Funny Killer and he was spamming Gee by SNSD while teamkilling us in the spawn room.

i hated it. it was the stupidest shit i had ever heard. wtf even is korea. why are there 9 girls in one group? thats stupid! what are they saying? gee gee gee gee baby baby baby? haha dumb! haha.. gee gee.. hey its pretty catchy... and.. they're pretty cute. koreans are cool i guess.

i ran to CE to tell everyone what i had found, and i ran into the already established, yet small, kpop community here. i was told of more SNSD songs. about Kara, about the wonder girls, about kdramas about everything!

and thus my journey began.

i shared my love of kpop and korea with CE, though some people, not a lot, got mad at me for it. but its okay.

and then i went to korea the next year. and that was... an adventure.

i came back to america, bored of my life. bored of school. bored of everything. and decided to make a change. i changed my major, moved in with friends who i bonded with over kpop, and became a teacher. that inspired me to get my masters, teach college, and got me my job as a computer teacher at a highschool/middle school.

all thanks to kpop.

so the message i have for you is never be afraid to be who you are, to like what you like, to share what you want to share. you never know where your passion will take you.
