Consider how many people have been sued for thousands of dollars for pirating movies and music. And yet I guarantee you that you've had at least SOME of those things on your computer illegally. Does that make you a dumbass when you get taken to court for it, or do we acknowledge that there's something seriously wrong with the law?


When it comes to piracy they only go after hosting sites, and mass uploaders. If you still get nailed despite being neither of those two, you're an idiot and have no idea how to stay off their radar. The most the average internet user gets is a warning letter from the isp, which goes nowhere. Its nowhere on the same level as having contraband on your person while you're out and about and can be easily nailed with it
