It would make me happy, but I wouldn't spend it, I would save it. And honestly, if your first thought when you are paid is "what shall I spend this on" then you will probably never have much money.

There is no point in just blindly dumping money into a savings account. You should have a decent "nest egg" set aside and the rest, or what you are comfortable doing, should go into a retirement/investment account. There is nothing wrong with spending any remainder on yourself.

Ugh, come on, I never said there's anything wrong with spending money on yourself. Reread my post and you'll see my problem is with the "gotta spend it" attitude.

Assuming you're making the money, you should have an emergency fund, then put money into retirement accounts, and max them out if you make enough money. Keep some money for yourself and splurge when you feel like it or when you see something you like. The "gotta spend it" attitude is a huge part of why people stay poor. People actually seek out opportunities to spend money.
