Topic	Steam Gift Contest X Part 3: Another One Bites the Gift

I'm like 30 minutes into it so far, got my butt kicked the first time by this big beetle with a club...came back and whooped him and then broke this cute looking caterpillar out of a glass jar. Dude looked so happy that I let him go. ^_^ Whats the deal with it? I keep hearing about this game. As someone who 100%'d the game, I'll field this. Short version is it's a Metroidvania with an emphasis on exploring and melee based combat. The world feels very Dark Souls-esque and it has a difficulty that matches that at times (git gud scrub is one of the two pieces of advice I give most people. The other is backtrack and explore for stuff you missed). The game is absolutely HUGE, with a large array of bosses and secrets to find. If you like 2D platformers, I highly recommend it. Just be aware that a standard first time run takes around 40 hours typically. When I say the game is huge I mean it. How does it compare to, say, Salt and Sanctuary? No idea. Not played that sylverlolol posted... @fire_bolt I'm still super early in...the map guy said to go visit his wife back in Dirthmouth. Do you recommend buying any of the map pins now or should I save da moneys? Honestly, there's not alot else to spend money on atm. You need the dash ability to unlock the shop. The other thing would be the "Fragile" charms, which give NICE bonuses but break if you die and need to be repaired. If you're not having too much trouble staying alive, the Fragile Greed charm can keep you rolling in money for as long as you equip it. Saving Grubs will help with that too. The Grubfather will reward you in ever increasing amounts for each one found (go hard left when you descend from Dirtmouth to find him). Late game, money is trivial. You'll run out of stuff to spend it on.
