This will be the second time that the films have rebooted in the last decade, so why not keep it fresh? We don't need the same love interest every time. We had a vanilla MJ in the 2002 - 2007 series. It was smart to substitute "Gwen" for MJ in the 2012 reboot. It's smart to sub in "Michelle" in Homecoming. It would be one thing if they just changed her race or hair color for no reason and kept everything else about her exactly the same. But that's not what they're doing. Maybe they'll throw in a stupid "MJ" wink to the audience at the end, but Michelle sounds like a fundamentally new character. Nothing to be mad about, imo. --- BKSheikah owned me so thoroughly in the 2017 guru contest, I'd swear he used the Lens of Truth to pick his bracket. (thengamer.com/guru) ... Copied to Clipboard! |
