Aside from that, what major differences are there?

How about how Objectivism is a life philosophy that includes metaphysical nonsense and Libertarianism is an approach to politics based on government essentialism

Right-- the difference is almost purely academic. Objectivists believe in philosophical axioms; Libertarians believe in political ones. But in the end, they mostly converge on politics, which informs how we interact with each other, vote and live our lives. They're entirely the same, except for those deeper layers of philosophy that only ever get trotted out for discussions about philosophy.
