This reminds of when they strip split-screen from Halo 5 and the fanatics were like "stop complaining" and "don't buy it then". What a shocker then when a lot of people who bought the game still had no idea the game had no split-screen when they started it up. Getting the word out is important so the consumers who would not get the game otherwise don't buy it and get a rude awakening.

My personal favorite incident of this is when Biodrones kept white-knighting the shit out of Star Wars: The Old Republic, complete with the usual chant of "if you don't like it, stop subscribing then". You can imagine their shock and outage when the game tanked in sales/subs so badly, it went free-to-play about a year later. For extra hilarity, the game still struggles to maintain a healthy playerbase with the added risk of it being a Pre-Buyout Star Wars game that flagrantly flaunts parts of the old EU, and yet the same goddamn fanboys in-game and on the forums still cop the same "fuck off, this game doesn't need you or your money" attitude and then in the same breath, complain about the ever increasing queue times for group content or Bioware's over-reliance on gamble boxes to keep up money-flow and they can't fathom how these things are related.

Few things deserve a more hearty LMAO then that.

Marvel Heroes announced last night they are removing F4 characters from the game and any trace of F4 related content.

Then immediately the post about it as well as tweets from the Devs regarding it all vanished.

Been reading up on this, fucking bullshit of the highest order even though I've never been a fan of the Fantastic Four. What's worse though, is that this sets a precedent (as if this topic wasn't already a huge warning sign despite being about a different game) of them removing anything X-Men related too, of which most of my unlocked roster is comprised of the uncanny and astonishing.

Fucking hell, I might just need to quit the game now because I can't justify investing in it further when heroes/team-ups/costumes, hell, ENTIRE SECTIONS OF THE GAME can be taken away just like that. I say "entire sections" as well because Gazillion can, and has, completely overhauled story missions to add/remove things. Despite the fact that Doctor Doom is heavily tied to the first 8 out of 10 chapters, I wouldn't put it past the developers to redo even that much of the game because Der Mousenfuhrer has decreed it so.
