So you're honestly saying that the microtransactions in place are not bullshit? Or are you just bragging that you've played the game so much that you didn't have to worry about the price?

I'm saying that not spending our time on the expensive, dumb virtual things allows us to afford the actual useful virtual things, plus some fluff here and there.

People complain that things cost hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars in the game now, happily forgetting that we're also making hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars as well as long as you put in mild effort, and that the "best" things in the game =/= most expensive.

Cars, for example. The best sports car in the game is still free, or at worst, 100k if you're not linked to the Social Club. One of the best super cars in the game is 700k to buy, and easily keeps up with the most expensive cars in a race. Million dollar apartments have the same functionality as 200k apartments, with only the location and layout changing. People are so used to instant gratification, and R* knows this. Hell, most of the shark card descriptions point this out as a subtle jab at people that want to skip the grind and buy all the frivolous shit all at once.

Rofl, FOH with this. If you wanted to buy even just the cheapest vehicle in the new DLC and change so much as the paint job, it's about a four million dollar investment MINIMUM for the bunker, mobile operations center, upgrades, and then finally the car itself. That's about 8 hours worth of grinding Pac Standard assuming you can get one run of the heist done in an hour. And that's just for one shitty dune buggy. This isn't about "instant gratification" it's about not treating the game like it's your literal job. And you work for a WoW gold farm in china.
