Huh, I've never heard that (or heard it a long time ago and forgot), but I googled it and you're pretty much right. Fuck that noise, though. All the colors they say are good are bland, like blue, black, brown, gray and white. I'm sure that was the right thing to do back in the day, but I wonder if it's still true today, given the direction a lot of companies are moving. A lot of companies look for people who stand out, and I always fear that if I wear the "safe" colors I'll look too much like everyone else they've interviewed and they'll forget me.
