That's my reason. Not that I've been suspended/banned, but it never hurts to have backup.

I don't know if the moderation system still works this way, but it used to be that if someone did a serious enough ToS violation, then all accounts on their usermap would be banned. So, for instance, maybe you browse gamefaqs in the school computer lab, and then someone else posts porn from the lab, and then you both get banned. Because of that risk it's common for people to have a "home" account and a "away" account.
