The hell? Tales is much more of a classic JRPG than Neptune. Neptunia games are so mediocre in both gameplay and writing, and relies on memes and inside-jokes to drive its story. Not sure what any about that says "Classic jRPG"

The story of nep-nep is run of the mill magical girl shojo-type shit with some meta jokes about gaming.

Tales is run of the mill shonen shit, but the battle system is unconventional Star Ocean type of stuff while the gameplay of Nep-Nep is the old formulaic turnbased stuff used in all the older FFs and DQs.

But the plot of Tales games are much more like classic JRPGs than ANY Neptune game. Hell, some Tales games ARE considered classic JRPGs like PHantasia, Eternia, and Destiny. Not one Neptune game is a "classic."

And it's turned based, but only vaguely. It's almost as action oriented as Tales, only one character moves at a time. The gameplay is much more stale, and the story is meme-y shit. It's not something you recommend to most people.
