Wow, only thing on my wishlist I'd even be tempted to buy for myself is Dynasty Warriors 8-Empires :/

Hopefully the discounts on there aren't accurate to the sale :(

Forget that. Get hyper light drifter. 1000% worth it.

Care to give me a brief rundown of the game?

16-bit/retro-inspired action rpg that blends stuff like old school Zelda, Dark Souls, etc. It has all the exploring and item collecting people love from Zelda combined with the refined/fair difficulty of a Souls game. If you make a mistake, you will be punished, but you learn from the mistakes pretty quickly. You have a standard hub town with 4 areas to go through, each with a main boss and some mini-bosses. The game took me about 12 hours to beat for 1 playthrough. The story itself is highly reminiscent of the Souls series: there isn't any "in your face" overt narrative aside from some vague reasoning behind why you are doing what you are doing. The rest is left for you piece together from bits of information you get as you go through each area. One of the things I love best about this game is that the exposition isn't in text format. When you meet a new NPC or get some new story bits, it's told in a series of comic-style cutscenes.

Here's a gameplay video from one of the 4 areas (which happens to be the one most people tackle first):
