lolno. Those "affected regions" have never been stable and were artificially turned into countries by Western powers. If anything, you should be blaming Western politics, imperialism, and stupid foreign policy.

Those things are huge factors. They are the biggest ones. But it should not be ignored that climate change is leading to greater resource instability which exacerbates the situation. Refugees come from more places than Syria.

There are 160 million people in Bangladesh. 30-60 million will be displaced permanently by the end of the century. Bangladesh is only one other country. Syria only had 3 million people displaced and look at how much difficulty other nations are experiencing trying to deal with that.

That's nearly 10% of the world population at risk just from sea level rise, one of the many things climate change is affecting. Heck, the US is going to have its own issues with large population displacement in the southeast before the end of the century.

If the refugee situation looks bad now, wait and see, it's going to get a lot worse.
