His ID and his gun were about 6 inches away from one another. The only thing the cop should have done was be like "HANDS ON THE WHEEL" as soon as he mentioned a firearm, but he was trying to be cool about it and not just blow up like I've seen cops do when they figure out weapons are in the car.
