I've made peace with the whole situation, yea, sometimes people take them in as pets or love them as little furry bastards but in most conditions we can't coexist with some animals as they're hazardous to us. Those raccoons were living inside the walls of a building . Who knows how long they've been shitting in there. I've never seen raccoons that upclose before, and in my head they're synonymous with rabies, so the shock of seeing them, and having the word "rabies" racing through my head, when I removed a piece of the wall, and my then landlord screaming her head off when she saw them, I just acted on an impulse So your impulse is to kill innocent animals. Those raccoons weren't hurting you. They're not hazardous. It's gross that they shit in your walls, yeah, but that that big of a deal. You could have tried to trap them, use repellent, used those electronic pest control things. There are so many ways you could have handled this that wouldn't have resulted in death, and a violent one at that. They're more than just animals that can carry rabies (and humans can as well). They are just creatures trying to survive, just like you and me. They mean no harm. Most of the time, they don't even want anything to do with us. You should feel ashamed of bricking them. i appreciate what you say but you have done nothing to get any sympathy from me. Punnyz posted... When I fended off that possum that attacked my cat, I think I used the word "punt" Alright Pun, this is news to me. Only 5-10 feet? That's enough to kill an animal like that, and even if it's not animal murder, it's animal abuse. All you had to do is get the possum away from your cat. If violence is required, you have to do it in such a way that is least harmful. You want to scare the animal away, not kill or seriously injure it. And certainly not use football terminology when you're dealing with defense. Gatarix posted... he didn't want to get involved in the first place, his landlord just hauled him up like HEY YOU HELP ME GET RID OF THESE RACCOONS. then it turned out they were baby raccoons. but the landlord was still expecting him to do something. so he made a snap decision to brick them. And what, he couldn't get rid of them in another way? I'm sorry, but the fact that his landlord wanted it does nothing to make me want to forgive him. If anything, his landlord is also an animal abuser. --- "You put too much effort into this to be funny anymore. It's just kinda pathetic." -SEP I am a proud female furry Ivy League student. ...
