Bad boys aren't the only types of unemployed guys that women will consider fucking for a change of pace. The guy doesn't really have to be particularly assertive or "dangerous" at all. He just has to has to be a source of something attractive/comfortable that the woman's not getting enough of elsewhere in her life. That could be a dozen different things. He can be funny, talented, or just pays attention to her emotions as a woman. She could have a noticeable lack of guys like that in her social circles and have a building urge to find them.

If a woman grew up with and really only knows "safe" men in her life, it can compel her to be curious and "adventurous" about men who are not like that, even if it could lead nowhere good. Just like men, women can get bored and they might seek change, sometimes only temporarily (a fling).

A similar situation can happen with a woman who grew up less privileged and constantly interacts with bad boys, rebels, and thugs. If those types of men bore or irritate her, the guy she starts daydreaming about is more likely to be different from those.

Some men are the same way about dating women. Spending too much time with starchy prude women can urge a man to find a party girl. Or hanging out with too many drunken party girls can push him to find a woman with more class.
