It's safe to assume that all current, successful businesses have found a balance between how much they have to charge for their goods/services to offset the overhead (including worker salaries) and still make profit. Therefore, if a law artificially jacks up worker salaries, the only way for a business to regain that balance and continue to exist is to jack up the cost of their goods/services. I do not wish to pay more for goods and services, therefore I want the minimum wage to remain low.
