tbh, I met a girl who claimed that she never met a black person until college. I thought it was hyperbole, but she was kinda insistent. Some years later, I visited this white-as-fuck place in Connecticut where I almost went a day without seeing a minority. It was kinda creepy since even in Canada I saw a good amount of diversity.

Hey, I'm not one to judge either. I grew up in a pretty exclusive Polish area. Of course there were the families that owned the Chinese and Thai restaurants, and the hospital had more than several Indians. But aside from that, I don't recall seeing much diversity until High School. I think the first black person I actually got to talk with was an exchange student from Uganda...
