If/when Democrats regain power, making Puerto Rico and DC states should be among the first things they do.

I'm pretty sure DC statehood would require a constitutional amendment. Could be wrong, though.
Of course, this means the republicans need to double down on the California breakup while they still can.

What is the California breakup?


reps are scared they won't be able to electoral college their way into their presidency in a couple decades so they want to break up California to gerrymander it.

Nope.

the idea is california is worth say, 50 points (I forgot the exact # )

They'd break it up into 4 states, all carefully gerrymandered so republicans win 3 of the 4 states, while the democrat-leaning parts get say, 1 electoral point or something stupid like that.

If they broke up california then why not texas and florida too? lol

I forgot about gerrymandering. How is that legal in your country?
