If we went to Saudi Arabia and the royal family walked out and our players didn’t kiss the ring or do whatever you’re supposed to do over there, they’d be dragged out the back of the stadium and given 50 lashes.
Why it particularly raises a lot of eyebrows is that the Saudis, honestly, if they didn’t have so much oil we wouldn’t go there. They wouldn’t be playing international sport. Women in Saudi Arabia have no rights whatsoever. If you’re gay, expect the death penalty and their links to terrorism are undeniable.

The ultra conservative Wahhabis (a right-wing Islamic movement), they carry the big stick in the Arab world and the fact that they wouldn’t stand in my opinion last night during the minute silence, I don’t think it’s a coincidence.

When it comes to terrorism, they’ve been accusing Qatar of terrorism, seriously, that’s rich coming from Saudi Arabia.

seems the club planned it. with a few players refusing to take part in disrespecting terrorism victims.
