But the conservaderp fans were outraged by an innocuous display, for sure, and they got vocal about it. Him stinking as a QB coupled with him being polarizing to some fans meant that most teams weren't willing to take a shot with him as a result moving forward. Same thing happened with Tebow. He's got at least backup skill, but if a backup gets too much spotlight that's the end of the road.
