This shows the depth of Jason's team's skills in being able to form the Megazord in the heat of battle after only eleven days of training and arguably less than an hour piloting the Zords. The Megazord's form being similar to that of Goldar's is due to the Zords being programmed to model their appearance off of the most powerful creatures on whatever planet they inhabit.
